Things to Do with Kids in Derby This Summer: Immersia XR at Derbion
If you are looking for things to do with kids in Derby this summer, Immersia XR at Derbion Centre is one of the new family-friendly experiences to watch. Running from 11 August to 6 September 2026, this story-led XR Walking Theatre experience invites visitors to put on a headset and walk inside immersive story worlds together.
Families can choose from six adventures when they arrive, including Alice in Wonderland, Tales of Aladdin, Moon Landing, Center of the Earth, Under The Sea and Eternal Tang. The format is designed for mainstream visitors, including first-time XR guests who want something different from the usual summer holiday activity.
Immersia XR at Derbion Centre, Derby is built around shared adventure rather than gaming. Visitors buy a time slot, then choose their story when they arrive. Tickets are available via Fever through the Immersia XR website.
